7 Free Meditation Apps
Insight Timer
The amount of free meditation sessions found in this app is huge at 130,000. An amount this large is given by thousands of teachers. Therefore, everyone will have to find instructors they enjoy listening to for a guided session.
After a practice completes, the user is asked to provide a teacher donation. There is also a premium membership enabling the user access to more courses and sessions. The large quantity of meditations helps guide anyone toward the goals of this practice.

Healthy Minds Program
The app begins with an optional assessment of the four pillars of science identifying how to strengthen a mind. These four pillars are awareness, connection, insight, and purpose. Twenty questions are answered for the user to start a journey of training the mind named, “My Path.”
The app guides users through 5-30 minute meditations developed by researchers at the University of Wisconsin’s Center for Healthy Minds. Each of the beginning and four pillars of the journey include more than 10 lessons and meditations. Entering the healthy minds’ meditation training teaches basic methods targeting this method of mental health.

Simple Habit
Adding a new habit to the day isn’t easy with time constraints. Simple Habit aims to change this with quick meditation cycles only lasting five minutes. Everyone should have at least five minutes for personal care of their mind. Select goals to train when deciding which meditation session to try next. This creates a plan to improve a brain training habit.

The user represents an oak growing from the stock with a new habit. Meditation basics and benefits begin the journey before introducing three separate paths. The first is audio-guided meditation as one practices how to enter a calm state. Breathing exercises along with thoughtful audio and video tracks make up the second and third. Grow as an oak tree or any plant does with meditation sessions.
