Optimistic hopes for future life growth depend on the individual and how they answer life events. Live in the present; don’t habitually pause remembering the past. Future growth is consequential to your reaction. Positive and negative memories are both stored in your brain. Their stories reveal the morals and ethics we follow.
Living without traumatic events is everyone’s dream for nobody wishes unfortunate circumstances on themselves. Welcome to my life before a near-fatal accident. Surviving is incredible considering the circumstances (Read Traumatic Accident), but learn from my experiences to improve your life. Many leave the present to captivate in moments that bring them happiness.
Live in Memories
We relive moments that bring us joy and excitement, but do you experience the same level of emotions each time? We retain stories with a favorable outcome. Think about the first time you ate one of your favorite meals; remember the smell and taste when you took the first bite? The charming air in the kitchen while preparing the dish until you bring a utensil towards your mouth.
Flavors confirm why you adore preparing food for yourself and others. Enter my present; smell and taste were lost from my accident. The adoration for eating flavorful foods remains in the past when reserved for these senses. I try to remember foods, but my excitement to enjoy the plate in front of me isn’t what I recall from the past.
People around me talk about the kitchen’s scent or ask how the food tastes. I must find other aspects to enjoy when asked about taste or smell. Future life growth doesn’t consider the loss, but your behavior.
Does happiness depend on every sense?
My happiness doesn’t rely on smell and taste which are out of my control. Losses are depressing when we imprison ourselves in the past.
Enter the present to develop new opportunities for future life growth. I don’t want to upset myself recollecting the plate’s aroma in front of me. Instead, I will stand up and leave this past behind. Once free, I embrace other delights gained from serving a meal.
Ten years of living without either of these senses force me not to reflect on personal enjoyment selfishly. I know smell and taste are gone, but I won’t allow these to stop life pleasures. Concentrate more on the people around you thankful for the food you provide them. Give friends and family the opportunity to enjoy life with you.
What if my senses are fine?
Please relate my loss of senses to a part of your life because no two lives are the same. The present time offers each of us the chance to rise above our past difficulties. Remember the past to change the future outcomes, but don’t stall yourself imagining past incidents. Rise to the present forming new memories and exposing your life growth.
